QUIET XMAS

SORRY I HAVE BEEN ON MY QUIET MODE LATELY. Hope everyones Christmas went well, me and my whole family spent it in Hanko city at our summer house. I returned to Helsinki pretty quickly, only after 2,5 days. Since I have been working on things that are still unfinnished before welcoming the New Year. It hasn't felt like holiday at all, or this year my xmas spirit was nowhere to be found. Maybe next year will be better.
I am going to spend my New Years eve at Helsinki, nothing special this year but it's the people who make it magical. So nothing too exciting.. haha! Wishing you all the best and happy New Year!

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

THIS YEAR WINTER CAME QUICK AND CHRISTMAS TIME EVEN QUICKER. There have been so many events, birthday parties, school tasks and national holiday celebrations that for me, this Christmas time came totally out of the blue. I haven't been able to feel the real merry feelings, no time for think about the presents or even make the vital decision where to actually spend the Christmas (in Helsinki or Tallinn). School assignment deadlines are banging the door (on behalf of the elves this year) and this whole stressing over holidays seems ridiculous because all the other "more" important stuff going on. My birthday party at least went ridiculously well and maybe I will post some photos here also, if they are suitable for some topic. This year still has been truly okay one, old friends have became even closer and I have taken care of family relationships ever better. It's all good, right?

So these are the only Christmas lights in my apartment in Tallinn. They are actually the only Christmas related decoration this year, no time for anything else. But I actually function sometimes better when there are several things going on and it decreases the stressing about unimportant things.

THE NEW BEGINNINGS

HI, HOW HAVE YOU BEEN? Regardless that the post title is radically The New Beginnings, it doesn't been anything that dramatic. I've been really busy with my real life and sadly my inspiration levels have run low and I decided to sacrifice the blog for the sake of ease the pressure of inventing something new and interesting. As I spent my lovely Saturday evening at home, I decided to give my blog yet another make-over and I hope this will be a more permanent edition for a while now. Also I have decided to drop the second language (pahoittelen Suomi-lukijat) because I feel like it's only causing confusion and I am positive that many of you can understand english that well, so you hopefully manage (and usually photos tell more that a thousand words, right?).

ABOUT THE TOPICS. I am still searching the right ground to stand on what comes to covering different topics but my ground-idea is basically same as ever; writing and discovering things that interest me and sharing some personal posts along the way.

Tervetuloa hieman uudistuneeseen blogiini. Uudistuksia eivät kokenut pelkkä ulkoasu, vaan myös käsiteltävät aiheet. Keskityn tulevaisuudessa enemmän ilmilöihin, luksustrendeihin sekä kaupallisiin löytöihin – todella henkilökohtaisia postauksia ei välttämättä enää tule, vaikka päivän asut sekä lyhyitä kuvauksia kuvien kera saattaakin ilmestyä. Toivottavasti tämä toimii!

Welcome! Our blog had a makeover regarding its layout and future posts. I will be concentrating more on commercial finds, luxury trends and phenomena. I will be from time to time touch on news about my own personal life, with outfit and other photos of course but will cut down a lot of the really personal texts. Hope you like it! 

BEAUTY BOX: CURRENT FAVORITES

Tällä hetkellä testissä ovat olleet seuraavat tuotteet: Vichy Idéalia siloittava kasvovoide sekä Peppy Galore Diva Toner for Sensitive Skin -kasvovesi (nämä tulivat siis syyskuun ilmaisen Liv-boxin yhteydessä). Nuorempana ostin yleensä saman tien purkit kaupasta mukaan, jos jotain tarvitsin mutta nyt sitä on oppinut hillitsemään itsensä ja oppinut kokeilemaan tuotteita kunnolla ennen kuin pääsevät kunnolla vakituiseen käyttöön. Nopeasti kerrottuna, olen todella rakastunut Vichyn kasvorasvaan: voide on vaaleanpunaista, tuoksuu hyvältä, tuntuu iholla viileältä ja valehtelematta tasoittaa ja heleyttää kasvoja saman tien. En tunne hirveästi muita Vichyn tuotteita, mutta tämä on todella lupaava alku. Olen melkoisen varma, että pitkään käyttämäni L'Orealin Youth Code-sarja vaihtuu seuraavalla täyttö kerralla tähän (kyllä, se on niin ihmeellinen).
Tuota Peppy Galoren puhdistusöljyä en ole vielä oppinut käyttämään, vierastan tunnetta että iho jää öljyiseksi (ei tunnu niin raikkaalta ja puhtaalta) vaikka muuten merkki onkin brändätty söpön tyttömäiseksi. Pitää opiskella lisää miten tuotteesta saisi parhaan hyödyn, mutta en nää sille niinkään käyttöä omassa arjessani.. Ehkä tämä seikka muuttuu, kunhan tutustuu paremmin.
Mikä on teidän luottomerkkinne, puhuttaessa kasvorasvoista ja puhdistuksesta?

My current beauty products I'm testing out: Vichy Idéalia smoothing day-cream for face and Peppy Galore Diva Toner for Sensitive Skin (these came from free September Liv-box). Younger I just bought the normal size bottles (beauty products) that I needed at the time but now as older and wiser I take time to really test the products out before actually buying it in bigger amounts. In short, I have falling in love with the Vichy cream: it's light pink, cream smells good, it feels chilly on your face when applying and it really does miracles for you (smoothing and controlling the redness in somehow so your face looks healthy, it gives you glow and equal tone). I'm not familiar with other Vichy products but this looks really promising and I'm pretty sure I will change my L'Oreal Youth Code creams to Vichy ones (yeah, it is that good). 
I'm not yet best mates with the Peppy Galore cleaning oil since I don't like the oily feeling it leaves to your face (doesn't feel that fresh and clean) although they have done great job with the branding it cute and girly. I need to study this product more how to get all the best out of it's use and maybe my mind about it will change, who knows.

BOOTEA HAVE ARRIVED........... BETTER LATE THAN NEVER I GUESS

Pahoittelen että on ollut hijaista blogin puolella, sitä on ollut kiirusta oman live elämän kanssa ja Suomessa ollessani en ottanut ollenkaan tietokonetta mukaan. Saavuin kuitenkin vihdoin Tallinnaan ja juostiin ripsihuollossa ja muualla.

Postilaatikon tarkastaneena, huomasin että Bootea oli kuin olikin saapunut Eestiin asti – mutta ei kuitenkaan kotiovelle vaan lähipostiin. Postissa säilytysaikaa oli kuitenkin vain parisen päivää joten kun minä sain tämän lapun käsiini, ilmoitettiin postista että paketti oli jo palautettu lähettäjälle. Nyt yritän tavoittaa Bootea UK jotta he vastaisivat mitä tapahtuu seuraavaksi: voivatko uudelleen lähettää paketin ym. Olen siis laittanut tähän mennessä heille kaksi spostia, ensimmäiseen vastattiin, toiseen ei. Kolmas lähtee nyt koskien tuota uudelleen lähetystä. Voi voi tästä tulikin nyt hankala homma, kun en alunperinkään ollut mikään netistä tilaamisen fani.. :(

The Bootea package arrived at least (shipping took a month, that's really weird) but I got the post paper late so they have shipped it already back to UK. So annoying, now I'm going to send another email asking what should we do next, resend it or money back. I'm so disappointed that this case went totally wrong in every way, especially when I'm no fan of online shopping yet. When I get this package, I will show the content and report how does it work.. We just need to wait a little more..

CLASSICAL MUSIC & DRINKS

Viikonloppu meni ystäviä nähdessä, kävimme syömässä Platz nimisessä ravintolassa (suosittelen kaikille Tallinnassa vieraileville) jonka jälkeen halusimme jatkaa iltaamme muutamilla drinkeillä. Moni paikka oli niin täynnä, että ajan ja hermojen säästämiseksi menimme Telegraafiin espresso martineille (tai muutamalle). Aula baaria suosittelen myös kaikille jotka haluavat nauttia fiinissä ympäristössä, klassisen musiikin siivittämänä drinksun tai toisenkin. Telegraafista/Tchaikovskysta onkin näköjään tullut yksi lempipaikoista, niin dinnerin kuin drinksuttelunkin merkeissä.

My weekend was pretty simple but fun; saw some friends and went to Platz (recommend lunch place if you are in Tallinn) for a dinner and afterwards had some drinks at Telegraaf lobby bar (which have clearly became our favorite spot according to dinner and drinks).

Sain vihiä näistä Mark&Spencerin poninkarvaisista nilkkureista, voi kun ne ovat näpsäkän näköiset (eikä hinnallakaan pilattu todellakaan). Täällä Tallinnassa Mark&Spencer kauppoja kyllä löytyy, mutta en ole pahemmin kunnolla tutustunut heidän tarjontaansa. Pitääpäs lähteä katsomaan, tämä merkki voi yllättää monet positiivisesti!

I got a hint about these beautiful pony skin boots from Mark&Spencer and how cute and sharp they look (and please, they cost like air – nothing)! There are many Mark&Spencer shops here in Tallinn but I haven't actually done any shopping from them – yet, that is. I need to go and check their stuff out one day, I'm sure I will be pleasantly surprised!

Hola, what's up? Viikonloppu menikin sitten Suomessa ja kiireellä hyppäsin vielä perjantaina laivaan. Näin muutamia tuttuja hmmm jonka takia olikin melkoisen jännä viikoloppu taas heh, mutta sisältyi tähän suruakin kuultuamme hyvän ystävämme kuolleen perjantaina jatkoilla, jonne me emme onneksi päätyneet (olisi ollut varmasti ihan liian kova pala päästä yli mikäli olisi joutunut todistamaan tilannetta).    Nyt kuitenkin kotiuduttu taas, vaikka unirytmi on jostain syystä totaalisen sekaisin taas. Voi kyllä johtua juuri näistä muista vaikuttajista ettei meinaa nukahtaa turhan aikaisin.
Tänään vapaa päivä koulusta, enkä turhaan hoppullutkaan heräämisen kanssa. Sain itseni illalla vielä ulos kaupungille hakemaan pari isoa maalauspohjaa: bussissa kanssamatkustajat tykkäävät kun kompuroin näiden kanssa vähän väliä tuolla ruuhkassa..
Odottelen täällä jo tätä Teatox settiä minkä tilasin netistä, sitä ei ole kuulunut ja alan jo hermostua kun en muutenkaan ole vielä netistä tilaamisen ykkösfani (tämä odottelu ei auta asiaa). Laitoin perään viestiä että missäs mennään, mutta luultavasti tulee ihan näinä päivinä ja kuvailen teille koko sisällön sitten että uskallatte myös kokeilla mikäli toimii!

What's up with you guys? I spent my weekend at Helsinki and were in a terrible hurry on Friday trying to make it to the boat. I saw some friends hmm which made my weekend even crazier but fun that I can say he he – but we all received also some shocking news that our friend died Friday and I was so "grateful" that I wasn't attending to that after party where it happened (to witness something like that would be maybe a too big of a shock). 
Today there was no school so I took the morning slow and got myself out in the evening to purchase some panting canvases. 
I'm waiting for the Teatox set I ordered online but it's nowhere to be seen although it was supposed to arrive already. Oh well, I give it a few more days – and will make a detail post about the product when I receive it, don't worry.

FIRST VIDEO HELLO EVER

Herranjestas kun on vaikeaa ihan oikeasti olla luonnollisesti videolle, vaikka on yksin kotona. En usko että näitä tulee enää, oli ihan liian huvittavaa ja noloa samaan aikaan!
Vielä parasta että ääni ja kuvat eivät oikeen pysy samassa tahdissa haha, epic!

This is the first video "hello" to the blog ever – and it was so hard for me to be natural in front of the camera although you are home alone. It was so embarrassing and too funny at the same time (the ones that went wrong were just so random) that I don't think I will be making these too many, don't worry ha ha! And for last, the sound and image can't seem to find a same tempo haha, epic!

BEAUTY BOX: HOME FIX

 Rakastan aamuja jolloin ei ole kiire mihinkään ja on aikaa puuhailla kaikkea turhaa. Silloin kun ihoni tarvitsee pientä huoltoa, minulle on muodostunut jo 3 tuotteen käyttö rutiini. Suihkussa kuorin ihoni suolalla (jättää ihon niin pehmeäksi ja ihan kuin olisi öljyinen pinta jo päällä), jonka jälkeen laitan kasvonaamion nenälapulla. Kasvonaamioiden suurkäyttäjänä tietenkin suosikkeja on monia, mutta ehdoton ykkönen on edelleenkin mineerali muta maski jonka levitys on helppoa – ja kasvoilla tuntuu koko vaikusajan aikana erittäin viileältä, aivan kuin olisi jäämurskaa naamalla (eli erityisen raikas). Onko jollain muulla vinkkejä uusiin kasvomaskikokeiluihin tai omia tuotelemppareita kun haluaa nopealla aikataululla pikahoidon iholle?

I love mornings when you don't have to rush anywhere and you can do everything meaningless. When my skin needs that quick freshening up, I have these 3 products that have became top favorites already. In the shower I use sea salt to peel my skin and it gives the most amazing texture – it leaves a little oily feeling afterwards which is really nice. After shower I put on my face mask and nose stripe. I use a lot of face mask but this mineral mud mask is definitely my all time favorite – it feels really chilly on your skin the whole time before washing it off. Do you guys have some new tips for trying other face masks or your favorite products you use for quick fixes you have founded working well?

Nyt kun en ole näin vapaapäivinä ottanut mitään erityisiä asukuvia (huomenna voisi kunnostautua sen homman suhteen) niin postailen tänne kuvat jotka ovat totaalisesti unohtuneet lisätä. Kyseessä siis River Woodsin suloinen sadetakki jonka ostin (mukavalla alennuksella) Helsingin Galleria Esplanadin liikkeestä. Takki on melko klassinen mutta mitäpä sitä aina pukemaan jotain over the top settiä. 

During my days off I haven't actually taken any outfit photos (tomorrow I will try to take some) but I posted these photos that I had totally forgot to put up. This is the newest rain coat from River Woods bought from Helsinki Galleria Esplanadi (with great discount). The coat is pretty classical but there is no need to every time dress up for a carnival ha ha.

IVERSITY – OPEN COURSES ONLINE

Joku oli linkannut muutamia viikkoja sitten koulumme yhteen Facebook yhteisöön linkin, josta löysin tämän Iversityn: sivuston joka tarjoaa yliopistotyylisesti erittäin laadukkaita verkkokursseja, ihan kaikille maailman laajuisesti. Surffailin sivut kokonaan läpi ennen kuin uskalsin liittyä ja rekisteröityä ensimmäiselle kurssilleni. Päätin ottaa kurssin Design 101 jonka läpi johdattaa mm. Stefano Mirti (arkkitehti, suunnittelija ym.) muiden ohjaajien kanssa. Kurssiin kuuluu ihan kunnolla työtä, ihan niin kuin tavallinen yliopistokurssikin mutta uskon sisällön olevan niin mielenkiintoista ja kehittävää että osallistuminen on vaivan väärti. Olen innoissani kurssin alkamisesta, haastetta siinä varmasti on mutta mikäs sen parempaa!

Mikä – Iversity on internet sivusto joka tarjoaa laadukkaita (yliopisto tyylisiä) kursseja verkossa ja ne ovat täysin ilmaisia sekä jokainen kiinnostunut voi osallistua.

Miksi – loistava tapa tutustua uusiin aiheisiin, kasvattaa tietämystä ja sivistystä samalla tukien mahdollista "oikeaa" koulunkäyntiä. Saatat löytää kursseja ja aihealueita jotka alkavat todenteolla kiinnostaa enemmän ja näin ollen täältä saat hyvän pohjan mitä odottaa kyseisen aiheen opiskelulta.

Miten – opiskelu tapahtuu pääsääntöisesti kokonaan internetissä ja työmäärä on n. 2-4 tuntiin tai enemmän viikossa, riippuen tietenkin kurssista. Tietokoneen ja nettiyhteyden omistaminen riittävät perustarvikkeiksi kursseille! Mikäli suoritat kurssin kokonaan (kaikki vaadittavat tehtävät ja kokeet) joissain kursseissa on mahdollista saada lopputodistus. Tällä hetkellä Iversity tarjoaa kursseja saksaksi ja englanniksi, mutta tarjonta kasvaa koko ajan.

Somebody had linked this to our school Facebook community: a link where I found this Iversity site which provides a quality online courses for everyone, globally. I visited every page of it and read every instructions they had before I was brave enough to enroll myself into one of their courses: Design 101 (instructed by Stefano Mirti etc among other teachers). This course contains a lot of work, like any normal university course but the topic is so interesting and I am sure that the content and what I will learn from this is worth it all.

What – Iversity is a internet platform who provides quality (university-ish) courses online and they are completely free and anyone from anywhere can enroll oneself.

Why – this is a perfect way to experience new fields of interest, grow your knowledge and sophisticate yourself by studying subjects that are unfamiliar to you or to support your "real" school and learning. You may find subjects that really start to interest you during the online course and they give a good glimpse of what would one expecting of studying this field.

How – studying happens mostly online and individually and the work loads are around 2-4 hours or more per week, depending on the course. With computer and internet access you are all set to take up a course and if you commit making all the assignments and quizzes, some courses offer a final certification. At the moment Iversity offers courses in German and English and their amount of courses are increasing.

If you are interested to study a little in a fun and without limited schedule hours, go visit Iversitys sites and enroll yourself with no fear (you can unroll yourself from a course anytime you like).

THIS WORLD IS ONLY GONNA BREAK YOUR HEART

Vaikka sainkin aamulla nukkua pitkään ja kaikki on yleisesti ihan perus hyvin – niin tänään on ollut taas hieman tavallista melankolisempi päivä vaihteeksi. Pitää yrittää purkaa ajatuksia piirtämällä tai kävelylenkillä että kaikki sutviintuu. Menempäs tästä fiilistelemään näitä kummallisia mietteitäni ja ehkä keksin illaksi jonkun kiinnostavan postauksen teille – minulla on muutamia aiheita plakkarissa mitä en ole vielä kirjoittanut auki. Eilen mentiin parille drinksulle kavereiden kanssa, oli etuoikeus tutustua myös kahteen uuteen mimmiin jotka olivat ihan huippu kivoja ja kiinnostavia. Tänään olisi kai tarkoitus lähteä ulos, itse en välttämättä klubitusta jaksaisi mutta johonkin olisi kiva mennä hyvälle jälkiruoka drinkille. Tekee hyvää päästä pois täältä kämpästä, muuten pimeä mieleni ottaa vallan ja sitten sitä ollaankin siinä mielentilassa seuraavat päivän kun sitä tilaa on itse todella vaikea napsauttaa pois päältä. Ehkä palaan vielä tänään tänne jonkin positiivisemman aiheen kanssa, ennen sitä tulee kuitenkin elää hieman eikö?

Today for me it's again a little bit melancholic day – it happens that my mind wonders in the past and weird, sad things. Many things are better than for example a year ago but am I happy or happier than then, I don't think so. There is no one in this planet who truly knows how my mind works and that's fine – you would be scared if you would see it ;). Yesterday we only went for couple of drinks with two of my friends and two new girls which were really nice and interesting! Today we are supposed to go out I guess somewhere, I don't feel like going to a club but some great special drink would be okay I guess. I just need to get out of the house before my dark mind takes over and from there it is really hard for me to come out for days haha! Maybe I will post something more positive here soon, before that one must live a little, right?

SLOW MORNING

Omas alkanut hitaasti tämä aamu – joka on muuttunut jo itseasiassa päiväksi! Olen ehtinyt tehdä aamupalaa, syödä sen sängyssä ja samalla katsonut leffan koneelta enkä ole vielä saanut itseäni aktivoitua. Koko aamun on satanut täydellä teholla, mikä on mielestäni ihanan raikastavaa! Harmittaa, sillä olisin halunnut ehtiä vielä kävelylle tuonne sateeseen, mutta nyt siellä jo pilkottaa aurinko.. Pitäisi laittaa hieman kotia kuntoon ja aloitella niitä rästi hommia, mutta jos ihan vielä hetken lämmittelen peiton alla..

I have had a really slow morning today – as I'm still in bed, I have managed to make breakfast and watched a movie. It was raining to hard during the morning but now it stopped – shame because I wanted to go out for a walk in pouring rain, haven't done that in ages! Oh well, maybe I should get up soon and start doing the things I have on my list for today. The last 5 minutes in bed, then I will get up..

BOOTEA TEATOX

Törmäsin tähän tee-detoxiin itseasiassa jostain syystä Instagramin kautta. Jo muutaman kuukauden tykkäilin kuvista missä ihmiset ovat ainakin näennäisesti hoikistuneet tämän Bootean avulla (osana treenausta ja oikeaa ruokavaliota). Päätin sitten eilen illalla tilata Bootean nettisivujen kautta tämän 14 päivän Teatox paketin joka sisältää siis kahdelle viikolle aamu- ja iltateepussit. Tämän setin pitäisi todenteolla puhdistaa kroppaa ja sivustolla tarjotaan myös ohjeita ruokavaliolle kyseisen kuurin ajaksi (ei punaista lihaa ym). Hinta ei ollut onneksi postimaksujen kanssa mitenkään maata kaatavan kova (n. 30 euroa) ja paketin pitäisi saapua kolmessa arkipäivässä, eli ensi viikolla saan käsiini tämän teatox setin. Ajattelin todenteolla sitoutua tähän kahden viikon kuuriin ja yritänkin sitten postailla tapahtuuko mitään. Ainoat suuremmat ongelmat tulevat tosiaan kyllä olemaan ehkä tuo ruokavalion noudattaminen (sokeripatukat ym pitää yrittää jättää kaikki pois ja ostaa vaikka tummaa suklaata) varsinkin kun tulisi syödä aamupala, välipala, lounas, toinen isompi ateria ja vielä iltapala. Itselläni tulee kyllä olemaan haaste pitää kiinni tarkkaan siitä, että tosiaan syö edes jotain niin useasti. Normaalisti kun syön aamupalan, lämpimän ruuan ja pelkästään iltapalan ja joskus unohdan tai en kiireessä ehdi edes aamupalaa vetäistä (sitten tulee ostettua kahvin kanssa kaikkea sokerista päivän aikana). Odottelen jo täällä että pääsisin arvoimaan ja kertomaan miltä tämä ihmetee maistuu, tuoksuu ja toimiiko – ja mikä tärkeintä: kuinka kärttyisäksi tulen kun kaikki se sokeri poistetaan + liha ha ha! Onko kukaan teistä kokeillut mitään tälläsistä vastaavaa – tai ylipäätään detox kuureja ja miten ne ovat toimineet/ vaikuttaneet? Jos täällä on toisia joilla on vaikeuksia sitoutua tarkkoihin ruokavalioihin, miten olette selvinneet ja miten päästä yli siitä makean himosta jos se iskee niin että melkein kuolee (vitsinä tietenkin)?

I have been stalking this Bootea Instagram account for months now and finally yesterday evening I ordered a pack for myself from their online shop. People who have used this tea have (at least according to the pictures) got "thiner", well this teatox being a part of a healthy diet and exercise. So I ordered this 14 day teatox set where there is one teabag for morning and another one for evening and during these 2 weeks you are supposed to follow a diet which do not contain example red meat etc (they promise results also in cases where you don't follow the diet but for maximal results of course it is better to go all in then). It's going to be hard for me to first of all eat that many times during a day but the hardest part is going to be leaving the sugary stuff out (I love my school wake-up candy bars that will give that extra kick for rest of the day ha ha). The package was only around 30 euros and it should be here (from UK) next week already. I will try to follow the 2 week diet correctly and will report to you guys does it work, what does it taste and smell like and does it keep its miracle promises – so remember to follow me via some platform if you are interested about this product.
 Do you have any tips for the sugar cravings? Have anyone tried these teatox diets or anything similar, please share your thoughts! 

COZY THURSDAY

Nappailin nämä kuvat jo eilen mutta päätin julkaista vasta nyt että olisi tasaisemmin uutta joka päivälle, mikäli mahdollista. Ilma oli täydellinen: raikas ja viileä syksyn tuuli on tervetullut minun puolestani. Mukavuuden nimissä en tänään pukenut mitään turhan fiiniä tai asiallista, vaan kaivoin kaapista mukavaa päälle pantavaa. Henry Lloydin villapaita on itseasiassa miesten, ostettiin tämä vuosia sitten ei toki minulle, mutta on jäänyt pyörimään kaappiini tänne Tallinnaan. Voisihan sitä miettiä jos yrittäisi sitä jotenkin pienentää, onko tähän jotain vinkkejä? 

Käytin pitkästä aikaa Hilfigerin nilkkureita (varmaan vasta toinen kerta jalassa) jotka ovatkin täydelliset tähän keliin, mutta ovat aina jääneet piiloon tuonne muiden laatikoiden taakse. 

Ajattelin myös antaa Vuittoneilleni hieman lomaa, ja ottaa taas käyttöön tämän nahkaisen AntiChic laukun jonka ostin New Yorkista (löysin tämän -60% alennuksella, joten hinnaksi jäi vaivaiset pari sataa mikä on minun mielestäni hyvä löytö). Katsotaan miten totun taas käyttämään sitä, aikoinaan se oli kovassakin kulutuksessa Suomen puolella. 

I took these photos already yesterday and the weather was amazing: the fresh and chilly fall wind is just what I need right now, so refreshing like you are born again! I wasn't keen on wearing anything sharp so I just pulled out some stuff out of my closet: this Henry Lloyd woolly is actually mens but as we bought it some years ago, it stayed in my closet and now I'm thinking of tailoring it smaller – any ideas of is this a good idea? Or maybe I'll just leave it like that to on hold ;).

I wore my Hilfiger boots which are perfect for this weather right now – I need to use them more, this was maybe only the second time they've been used. Also I decided to give my Vuittons some rest and start using this AntiChic leather bag I bought from New York (it was -60% discount and final price was only some hundreds so that is a good deal in my mind). I wonder how I will get used to it again although it has been in proper use in Finland back in the days ha ha.

BEAUTY BOX: HEAVY BASE

 Tein kuvasarjan meikkipohjani tekemiseen käytettävistä tuotteista – tällä määrällä voisi muuttaa vaikka mustan valkoiseksi, eli hyvin raskas pohja kyseessä eikä sovellu arkikäyttöön (tekeminen ottaa niin paljon aikaa). Kuitenkin, jos haluan meikin toimivan salamalla otetuissa kuvissa (esim juhlissa ja muissa tilaisuuksissa) niin tämä toimii vaikka ei olekaan kevyimmästä päästä. I made a photo series of the products I use when I do my base make-up (this one is for events or other situations where pictures are being taken with flash) for situations that need that extra layer. NOT SO GOOD DAY

Tänään ei ole asiat oikeen menneet putkeen – pitää lähteä kävelyreissulle että itse vähän rauhoittuisi ennen kuin tekee mitään peruuttamatonta. Kuvalin asua myös tuolla ulkona ja viereisestä suurlähetystöstä tultiin tiirailemaan että mitäs minä puuhailen, ujoa tyyppinä meni hermo siihenkin että jäätiin töllöttelemään. Nyt pakko lähteä saman tien ulos täältä, muuten menee hermot ihan lopullisesti (olen todella huono saamaan itseäni rauhoittumaan jos tulee seillainen vimma ja puusta – olisiko vinkkejä jotka toimivat teillä vai onko tuo kaduille lähteminen ainoa keino).

My day sucks, or so far it hasn't been the best one. I took some outfit photos outside and some guards from the next door embassy came to see what was I doing and as a shy person, I got nervous and stopped. Now I'm in a really pissed off state of mind and need to go outside right now.. What calms you down when you are feeling pissed off?

SAVE THE QUEEN COAT & WEIRD HEELS

Ihan uskomattoman upea syksy ilma täällä Tallinnassa! Saavuin takaisin Helsingistä vasta tänään ja koulun kautta takaisin kotiin – viikonloput meinaa venähtää aina kun asiat jäävät kesken sielläkin puolella ja välillä on ihan hyvä olla paikan päällä. Ajattelin kuvata tuolla upeassa valossa takin jonka ostin vuosia sitten New Yorkista mutta en ole käyttänyt sitä kuin muutamia kertoja. Beige väri miellyttää ja viileämmälläkin säällä se menee korkean kauluksensa ansiosta. Väliin mustaa niin tulee mukava kontrasti värien välillä – ja kaivoin jalkaani kaapista kivat korkokengät joissa on hullunkurinen korko. Muutamia vuosia sitten tulivat muotiin kengät joissa ei ollut korkea ollenkaan tai sitten se oli hassusti kiinnitetty eri osaan kenkää: silloin muotifriikkinä oli ihan pakko saada samanlaiset kengät ja onnekseni niitä löytyi jo melko nopeasti jopa Helsingin keskustan kenkäputiikista (mikä ihmetytti, miten nopeasti olivat tajunneet ottaa sisään näitä erikoisia kenkiä meille muotihulluille). Ne ovat ihmeen mukavat jalassa vaikka sitä alitajuntaisesti varoo laittamasta ihan koko painoa kantapäälle (jaksaa niillä silti mennä päivänkin jos toisen). Kuosi on mielenkiintoinen ja ihanan kiiltävä, pitää keksiä enemmän käyttöä näillekin yksilöille etteivät vain lepää kaapissa turhaan.

The fall weather here in Tallinn is unbelievably amazing! I got here today from Helsinki as the weekends usually turn into a week there because there is always something to take care of. I photographed this funny coat which I purchased from New York years ago and it's really warm because of the high collar. I found also to wear these shoes with weird heels: I bought them from Helsinki few years ago (or more) when these heel-less heels were so fashion (I just had to have a pair as I was a fashion maniac back then). I was really surprised that they got these shoes already so quickly after the trend came out. I need to think more occasions where I could wear them so they won't just lay in my closet. They are actually really comfortable to wear although you automatically put only little weight on the normal heel part of the shoes.

SUIT PANTS + LEOPARD KORS

Kuvasin lauantain juhla-asuni jo etukäteen Tallinnassa kotona. Läpinäkyvä paita ja ohuen ohuet mustat housut ovat uusia, sekä tulevat varmasti kovaan käyttöön. Rakastan miten hamemaisen vaikuteman ne antavat ja koska laskeutuvat hyvin, luovat ne myös pituutta kantajalleen (niin kuin hyvin laskeutuvilla materiaaleilla ja tummilla väreillä on tapana tehdä). Vyötärölle vetäisin D&G:n lakerivyön (ostettu muutama vuosi sitten Helsingin Maranellosta) ja tavarat menivät Michael Korsin leopardilaukkuun (ostettu Tallinnan Stockmannilta pari vuotta sitten) mikä pääsi taas pitkästä aikaa käyttöön. Kaverit kehuivat mustanpuhuvaa asuani ja hyvät naurut saatiinkin tästä aladinmaisesta lepattavasta kokonaisuudesta. Talvisessa juhlapukeutumisessa en osaa millään käyttää värejä, mikä harmittaa kyllä. Miten te käytettä värejä juhlapukeutumisessa näin syksyisin, vai menetteko myös pimeän mustaa linjaa? I photographed my outfit for Saturdays party earlier at home in Tallinn before coming to Helsinki. The shier shirt and black pants are both new and will definitely be in hard use for now on. I love how the pants give this skirt efect and they flow down beautifully because of the light fabric. I belted my outfit with D&G (purchased from Maranello Helsinki store) and other belonings went into leopard Michael Kors bag (purchased from Stockmann Tallinn few years). My friends complimented my funny outfit and we had proper laught out of the aladin-ish look it performed. My fall/winter party looks are almost 99 % black, in some way it is hard for me to dress in color.. How do you guys use colors in your party looks during winter time or do you also dress in black like me all the time? (Open the post fully if you want to see all the pictures.)

FALL IS SO BEAUTIFUL HERE IN HELSINKI

Maanantai syksyisessä Helsingin keskustassa - vaikka olisi saanut nukkua pitkään, heräsin kuitenkin jo yhdeksän aikoihin ja suuntasin mamin toimistolle hoitamaan muutamia paperiasioita. Kävimme nopealla lounaalla jonka jälkeen poikettiin tavan mukaan lähiputiikeissa - ja harvoin pääsee takaisin tyhjin käsin. Löysin kivat saappaat Urban a*:sta mutta eivät sitten istuneetkaan ihan niin täydellisesti kuin olisin halunnut. Löytyipä sitten pipo söpöllä rusetilla (38,-), tarpeeksi ohut näin syksyisellä säällä ja pieni yksityiskohta tuo eloa muuten niin arkiseen päähineeseen. Päälle vetäisin tänään taas nahkahousujen kanssa turkisliiviä, mutta tällä kertaa se päätyi nahkatakin alle ja toimii paremmin niin päin.

En ole ennen tätä ollut yhtään syksyihmisiä, mutta nyt olen huomannut kuinka kaunista joka puolella on ja kuinka puhdistava, raikas syksytuuli tuntuu hyvältä. Osaan kerrankin nauttia pimeistä illoista, katuvalot ja kynttilät tekevät kaikesta romanttisempaa. Oletteko samaa mieltä, vai vannotteko jonkin muun vuodenajan nimeen?

Moday and fall in Helsinki center - although I had the change to sleep in this morning, I got up really early and headed to moms office to get some paper work done. We had a quick lunch and as usual visited the nearby shops before going back to work. We return hardly ever empty handed and today was no exception: I found this really simple but cute hat with bow detail from Urban a* (38,-). Nothing special but it's perfect for this fall weather because it's quite thin and black is always a safe color. Today I wore the fur vest but under the leather jacket, not on top of it although I have planned to wear it that way. I prefer it to be underneath it, on top I feel like a bear haha too much everything. 

I have never been fall-kind of person before this but now I have started to notice actually how beautiful it is outside. Finally I enjoy the dark nights and the chilly wind feels really good, candles and street lights make eveything so romantic. Do you agree with me or do you praise for some other season than fall?
