VIDORRETA SHOES – FOR ESPADRILLE LOVERS

For few years now, here in Finland at least the it summer chilling shoe has been espadrilles. They are light, comfy and completes your beachy outfits and looks. They have not been trash talked in the same way that maybe Uggs are, yet and for that matter are totally cool and approved in our circles. Because of various espadrille suppliers there are pairs with thin soles and fabrics that can't really handle the rough use (summer rains or wild yard parties). I'm one of those who buy multiply pairs per summer season because of two reasons: they are cheap and I like to have different colors to match my mood.
The city life during the summer allows you to enjoy your espadrilles, but they should be maybe a little bit stronger when it comes to materials. My newest shoe love is Vidorreta espadrilles in camouflage, which I bought yesterday at a sailing shop in Helsinki and got my pair around 50 €, lucky me (see my Instagram)! After strutting around in them all day yesterday and today, I'm in love and recommend everyone to discover this interesting shoe label. What would be better than enjoying summer in your chill city-meets-beach look and giving your feet the long needed vacation and spa treatment at the same time? Since there are no possibility to get any vesicles they truly are the best innovation after Uggs (don't take too seriously, but these kind of go to the same category of über comfy and out of duty shoe wear). 

HAIR: BLEACH LONDON INSTA-INSPIRATION

Hair-talk indeed and bleached kind! Most of us would not go for all-rainbow kind of head but Bleach London Instagram account offers us the pleasure to sneak peak what others have gone for, when it comes to color bleach.

The pictures are yummy and inspirational – I wonder would I personally be ever that brave to try some pastels or even more crazier colors like green, blue or yellow?
 I've been in love with pastel heads in pink and turquoise shades ever since the trend started. I may not never be brave enough to try these hair–do's myself, but at least I have a new exciting Instagram account to follow and continue my dreaming!

WOODEN SUNGLASSES

While surfing around the internet I found this Finnish company called Pöllöt (Owls) which makes wooden eyewear! This idea is totally unique and I think the sunglasses have all the potential to become the IT thing this summer. They come with really good price, they are ecological, they float in the water because of the bamboo material, they are really light and, well, beyond cool!

I have found few favorites already, and I'm definitely thinking about getting a pair for upcoming summer – we wanna stay young and hip, right? What do you think?

Ever since I bought my first iPhone, I've been looking for the perfect case for it. My current love, Chanel Bottle case, is not the most convenient one but it is pretty and interesting. And of course, trending among my Instagram idols (jet set babes around the world). You can find these cases by googling it and there are many sellers providing them with different prices. I usually do not support replica items but because Chanel haven't actually officially manufactured these iPhone cases – but the jet set elite have still become fans and shown their love via social media so why not, right?

I'm already looking for the next cute, trendy case as more is more for me. What kind of phone cases you have? Your favorite phone case trend? Please share your thoughts!

IVERSITY – OPEN COURSES ONLINE

Joku oli linkannut muutamia viikkoja sitten koulumme yhteen Facebook yhteisöön linkin, josta löysin tämän Iversityn: sivuston joka tarjoaa yliopistotyylisesti erittäin laadukkaita verkkokursseja, ihan kaikille maailman laajuisesti. Surffailin sivut kokonaan läpi ennen kuin uskalsin liittyä ja rekisteröityä ensimmäiselle kurssilleni. Päätin ottaa kurssin Design 101 jonka läpi johdattaa mm. Stefano Mirti (arkkitehti, suunnittelija ym.) muiden ohjaajien kanssa. Kurssiin kuuluu ihan kunnolla työtä, ihan niin kuin tavallinen yliopistokurssikin mutta uskon sisällön olevan niin mielenkiintoista ja kehittävää että osallistuminen on vaivan väärti. Olen innoissani kurssin alkamisesta, haastetta siinä varmasti on mutta mikäs sen parempaa!

Mikä – Iversity on internet sivusto joka tarjoaa laadukkaita (yliopisto tyylisiä) kursseja verkossa ja ne ovat täysin ilmaisia sekä jokainen kiinnostunut voi osallistua.

Miksi – loistava tapa tutustua uusiin aiheisiin, kasvattaa tietämystä ja sivistystä samalla tukien mahdollista "oikeaa" koulunkäyntiä. Saatat löytää kursseja ja aihealueita jotka alkavat todenteolla kiinnostaa enemmän ja näin ollen täältä saat hyvän pohjan mitä odottaa kyseisen aiheen opiskelulta.

Miten – opiskelu tapahtuu pääsääntöisesti kokonaan internetissä ja työmäärä on n. 2-4 tuntiin tai enemmän viikossa, riippuen tietenkin kurssista. Tietokoneen ja nettiyhteyden omistaminen riittävät perustarvikkeiksi kursseille! Mikäli suoritat kurssin kokonaan (kaikki vaadittavat tehtävät ja kokeet) joissain kursseissa on mahdollista saada lopputodistus. Tällä hetkellä Iversity tarjoaa kursseja saksaksi ja englanniksi, mutta tarjonta kasvaa koko ajan.

Jos olet kiinnostunut opiskelusta hauskalla ja aikataulullisesti rajoittamattomalla tavalla, käy tutustumassa Iversityn nettisivuihin ja rekisteröidy kurssille ilman pelkoja (voit missä vaiheessa vain postaa itsesi kurssilla).

Somebody had linked this to our school Facebook community: a link where I found this Iversity site which provides a quality online courses for everyone, globally. I visited every page of it and read every instructions they had before I was brave enough to enroll myself into one of their courses: Design 101 (instructed by Stefano Mirti etc among other teachers). This course contains a lot of work, like any normal university course but the topic is so interesting and I am sure that the content and what I will learn from this is worth it all.

What – Iversity is a internet platform who provides quality (university-ish) courses online and they are completely free and anyone from anywhere can enroll oneself.

Why – this is a perfect way to experience new fields of interest, grow your knowledge and sophisticate yourself by studying subjects that are unfamiliar to you or to support your "real" school and learning. You may find subjects that really start to interest you during the online course and they give a good glimpse of what would one expecting of studying this field.

How – studying happens mostly online and individually and the work loads are around 2-4 hours or more per week, depending on the course. With computer and internet access you are all set to take up a course and if you commit making all the assignments and quizzes, some courses offer a final certification. At the moment Iversity offers courses in German and English and their amount of courses are increasing.
