Hola, what's up? Viikonloppu menikin sitten Suomessa ja kiireellä hyppäsin vielä perjantaina laivaan. Näin muutamia tuttuja hmmm jonka takia olikin melkoisen jännä viikoloppu taas heh, mutta sisältyi tähän suruakin kuultuamme hyvän ystävämme kuolleen perjantaina jatkoilla, jonne me emme onneksi päätyneet (olisi ollut varmasti ihan liian kova pala päästä yli mikäli olisi joutunut todistamaan tilannetta).    Nyt kuitenkin kotiuduttu taas, vaikka unirytmi on jostain syystä totaalisen sekaisin taas. Voi kyllä johtua juuri näistä muista vaikuttajista ettei meinaa nukahtaa turhan aikaisin.
Tänään vapaa päivä koulusta, enkä turhaan hoppullutkaan heräämisen kanssa. Sain itseni illalla vielä ulos kaupungille hakemaan pari isoa maalauspohjaa: bussissa kanssamatkustajat tykkäävät kun kompuroin näiden kanssa vähän väliä tuolla ruuhkassa..
Odottelen täällä jo tätä Teatox settiä minkä tilasin netistä, sitä ei ole kuulunut ja alan jo hermostua kun en muutenkaan ole vielä netistä tilaamisen ykkösfani (tämä odottelu ei auta asiaa). Laitoin perään viestiä että missäs mennään, mutta luultavasti tulee ihan näinä päivinä ja kuvailen teille koko sisällön sitten että uskallatte myös kokeilla mikäli toimii!

What's up with you guys? I spent my weekend at Helsinki and were in a terrible hurry on Friday trying to make it to the boat. I saw some friends hmm which made my weekend even crazier but fun that I can say he he – but we all received also some shocking news that our friend died Friday and I was so "grateful" that I wasn't attending to that after party where it happened (to witness something like that would be maybe a too big of a shock). 
Today there was no school so I took the morning slow and got myself out in the evening to purchase some panting canvases. 
I'm waiting for the Teatox set I ordered online but it's nowhere to be seen although it was supposed to arrive already. Oh well, I give it a few more days – and will make a detail post about the product when I receive it, don't worry.

RIVER WOODS RAIN COAT

Nyt kun en ole näin vapaapäivinä ottanut mitään erityisiä asukuvia (huomenna voisi kunnostautua sen homman suhteen) niin postailen tänne kuvat jotka ovat totaalisesti unohtuneet lisätä. Kyseessä siis River Woodsin suloinen sadetakki jonka ostin (mukavalla alennuksella) Helsingin Galleria Esplanadin liikkeestä. Takki on melko klassinen mutta mitäpä sitä aina pukemaan jotain over the top settiä. 

During my days off I haven't actually taken any outfit photos (tomorrow I will try to take some) but I posted these photos that I had totally forgot to put up. This is the newest rain coat from River Woods bought from Helsinki Galleria Esplanadi (with great discount). The coat is pretty classical but there is no need to every time dress up for a carnival ha ha.

SLOW MORNING

Omas alkanut hitaasti tämä aamu – joka on muuttunut jo itseasiassa päiväksi! Olen ehtinyt tehdä aamupalaa, syödä sen sängyssä ja samalla katsonut leffan koneelta enkä ole vielä saanut itseäni aktivoitua. Koko aamun on satanut täydellä teholla, mikä on mielestäni ihanan raikastavaa! Harmittaa, sillä olisin halunnut ehtiä vielä kävelylle tuonne sateeseen, mutta nyt siellä jo pilkottaa aurinko.. Pitäisi laittaa hieman kotia kuntoon ja aloitella niitä rästi hommia, mutta jos ihan vielä hetken lämmittelen peiton alla..

I have had a really slow morning today – as I'm still in bed, I have managed to make breakfast and watched a movie. It was raining to hard during the morning but now it stopped – shame because I wanted to go out for a walk in pouring rain, haven't done that in ages! Oh well, maybe I should get up soon and start doing the things I have on my list for today. The last 5 minutes in bed, then I will get up..

SAVE THE QUEEN COAT & WEIRD HEELS

Ihan uskomattoman upea syksy ilma täällä Tallinnassa! Saavuin takaisin Helsingistä vasta tänään ja koulun kautta takaisin kotiin – viikonloput meinaa venähtää aina kun asiat jäävät kesken sielläkin puolella ja välillä on ihan hyvä olla paikan päällä. Ajattelin kuvata tuolla upeassa valossa takin jonka ostin vuosia sitten New Yorkista mutta en ole käyttänyt sitä kuin muutamia kertoja. Beige väri miellyttää ja viileämmälläkin säällä se menee korkean kauluksensa ansiosta. Väliin mustaa niin tulee mukava kontrasti värien välillä – ja kaivoin jalkaani kaapista kivat korkokengät joissa on hullunkurinen korko. Muutamia vuosia sitten tulivat muotiin kengät joissa ei ollut korkea ollenkaan tai sitten se oli hassusti kiinnitetty eri osaan kenkää: silloin muotifriikkinä oli ihan pakko saada samanlaiset kengät ja onnekseni niitä löytyi jo melko nopeasti jopa Helsingin keskustan kenkäputiikista (mikä ihmetytti, miten nopeasti olivat tajunneet ottaa sisään näitä erikoisia kenkiä meille muotihulluille). Ne ovat ihmeen mukavat jalassa vaikka sitä alitajuntaisesti varoo laittamasta ihan koko painoa kantapäälle (jaksaa niillä silti mennä päivänkin jos toisen). Kuosi on mielenkiintoinen ja ihanan kiiltävä, pitää keksiä enemmän käyttöä näillekin yksilöille etteivät vain lepää kaapissa turhaan.

The fall weather here in Tallinn is unbelievably amazing! I got here today from Helsinki as the weekends usually turn into a week there because there is always something to take care of. I photographed this funny coat which I purchased from New York years ago and it's really warm because of the high collar. I found also to wear these shoes with weird heels: I bought them from Helsinki few years ago (or more) when these heel-less heels were so fashion (I just had to have a pair as I was a fashion maniac back then). I was really surprised that they got these shoes already so quickly after the trend came out. I need to think more occasions where I could wear them so they won't just lay in my closet. They are actually really comfortable to wear although you automatically put only little weight on the normal heel part of the shoes.

SUIT PANTS + LEOPARD KORS

Kuvasin lauantain juhla-asuni jo etukäteen Tallinnassa kotona. Läpinäkyvä paita ja ohuen ohuet mustat housut ovat uusia, sekä tulevat varmasti kovaan käyttöön. Rakastan miten hamemaisen vaikuteman ne antavat ja koska laskeutuvat hyvin, luovat ne myös pituutta kantajalleen (niin kuin hyvin laskeutuvilla materiaaleilla ja tummilla väreillä on tapana tehdä). Vyötärölle vetäisin D&G:n lakerivyön (ostettu muutama vuosi sitten Helsingin Maranellosta) ja tavarat menivät Michael Korsin leopardilaukkuun (ostettu Tallinnan Stockmannilta pari vuotta sitten) mikä pääsi taas pitkästä aikaa käyttöön. Kaverit kehuivat mustanpuhuvaa asuani ja hyvät naurut saatiinkin tästä aladinmaisesta lepattavasta kokonaisuudesta. Talvisessa juhlapukeutumisessa en osaa millään käyttää värejä, mikä harmittaa kyllä. Miten te käytettä värejä juhlapukeutumisessa näin syksyisin, vai menetteko myös pimeän mustaa linjaa? I photographed my outfit for Saturdays party earlier at home in Tallinn before coming to Helsinki. The shier shirt and black pants are both new and will definitely be in hard use for now on. I love how the pants give this skirt efect and they flow down beautifully because of the light fabric. I belted my outfit with D&G (purchased from Maranello Helsinki store) and other belonings went into leopard Michael Kors bag (purchased from Stockmann Tallinn few years). My friends complimented my funny outfit and we had proper laught out of the aladin-ish look it performed. My fall/winter party looks are almost 99 % black, in some way it is hard for me to dress in color.. How do you guys use colors in your party looks during winter time or do you also dress in black like me all the time? (Open the post fully if you want to see all the pictures.)

FALL IS SO BEAUTIFUL HERE IN HELSINKI

Maanantai syksyisessä Helsingin keskustassa - vaikka olisi saanut nukkua pitkään, heräsin kuitenkin jo yhdeksän aikoihin ja suuntasin mamin toimistolle hoitamaan muutamia paperiasioita. Kävimme nopealla lounaalla jonka jälkeen poikettiin tavan mukaan lähiputiikeissa - ja harvoin pääsee takaisin tyhjin käsin. Löysin kivat saappaat Urban a*:sta mutta eivät sitten istuneetkaan ihan niin täydellisesti kuin olisin halunnut. Löytyipä sitten pipo söpöllä rusetilla (38,-), tarpeeksi ohut näin syksyisellä säällä ja pieni yksityiskohta tuo eloa muuten niin arkiseen päähineeseen. Päälle vetäisin tänään taas nahkahousujen kanssa turkisliiviä, mutta tällä kertaa se päätyi nahkatakin alle ja toimii paremmin niin päin.

En ole ennen tätä ollut yhtään syksyihmisiä, mutta nyt olen huomannut kuinka kaunista joka puolella on ja kuinka puhdistava, raikas syksytuuli tuntuu hyvältä. Osaan kerrankin nauttia pimeistä illoista, katuvalot ja kynttilät tekevät kaikesta romanttisempaa. Oletteko samaa mieltä, vai vannotteko jonkin muun vuodenajan nimeen?

Moday and fall in Helsinki center - although I had the change to sleep in this morning, I got up really early and headed to moms office to get some paper work done. We had a quick lunch and as usual visited the nearby shops before going back to work. We return hardly ever empty handed and today was no exception: I found this really simple but cute hat with bow detail from Urban a* (38,-). Nothing special but it's perfect for this fall weather because it's quite thin and black is always a safe color. Today I wore the fur vest but under the leather jacket, not on top of it although I have planned to wear it that way. I prefer it to be underneath it, on top I feel like a bear haha too much everything. 

I have never been fall-kind of person before this but now I have started to notice actually how beautiful it is outside. Finally I enjoy the dark nights and the chilly wind feels really good, candles and street lights make eveything so romantic. Do you agree with me or do you praise for some other season than fall?

FALL OUTFIT: LEATHER & FUR

Pitkästä aikaa kuvailin asukuvia (päivänvalossa kun saa edes jotenkin kelvollisia). Laatu kärsi hieman koska leikin muokkausohjelmalla hieman tuon valotuksen kanssa vaikka en muuten jaksanutkaan ns. retusoida kuvia sen enempää. Tekonahkahousut vedin päälle ja ne toimivatkin täydellisesti turkisliivin kanssa joka ei ole päässyt vielä kunnolla käyttöön – ehkä nyt Suomessa sitten viikonlopun aikana, kuka tietää! Talven tullen tuo liivi on ihana varmasti myös sisällä koulussa pitkillä luennoilla, kun osa luokkahuoneista ovat hieman viileitä. Työasioita hoidettaessa asukokonaisuus saattaisi olla hieman vulgaari – mutta toisaalta tuttavani tietävät tyylini, mikä ei aina ole kamalan low profile.

Finally I had the change to take some outfit photos (while still having some daylight in my apartment in Tallinn). The quality suffered a little cause I played with the lightning levels, although I didn't modify the photos too much. Fake leather pants accompanied with fur vest which haven't yet been outdoor use (maybe this weekend in Helsinki, who knows). The vest goes well with dark leather and I can imagine that it will be great for indoor use also during winter time in school (as some of the classrooms are really chilly). For work meetings this outfit might be too over the top, but on the other hand my friends know that my style isn't always the most low profile.

NEW IN

Sitä tuli pitkästä aikaa käytyä shoppailemassa ihan juhla- ja arkivaatteita – niin se yleensä on näin alkukuusta (opiskelijat varmaan tietävät syyn). Housuja on tarttunut nyt mukaan, sekä vihdoin se muutamien vuosien haave turkisliivistä! Väritys on taas jäänyt mukavasti mustan sävyihin mutta menkööt – ainakin helppo yhdistellä jo olemassa oleviin retkuihin.

Some shopping, I found a few great pair of pants and the long wanted fur vest finally! Hope it will not turn to be too cold for it for the upcoming weeks. Oh, and you all see how I just love colorful things....

The Londoner has amazing pictures in it, and actually I saw the author in Nice airport while back when we were coming back from Monaco Grand Prix week.

Ulrikke Lund is just too pretty – such a unique style and stunning face.

Peyre Blogg – it's author Natacha Peyre is gorgeous and interesting to follow while she blogs from US about glamour and her everyday life.

Life of Silja is probably the only finnish blog I follow properly – Silja is really pretty and she writes about her everyday life with great pictures and attitude.

Viikonlopun jäljiltä on niin kummallisia fiiliksiä, joitakin kuvia jäi kameraan jotka yritän muistaa purkaa tässä lähi aikoina. Nyt yritän päästä kiltisti laivaan ja Suomen puolelle hoitamaan muutamat työ hommat ennen kuin takasin taas loppu viikosta Tallinnan puolelle. Oli ihana nähdä tyttökavereita pitkästä aikaa ja juhliminen on ihan mukavaa jos ympärillä on ihania ihmisiä. Nyt tulee kirjoiteltua todella kummallista tekstiä, yritän palata jonkun järkevämmän tarinan kanssa! Ciao!

LOOSE BRAID

Silloin kun aikaa ei ole paljon, eikä mitään virallisempaa menoa: syntyi rennompi versio letistä. Kuvat kertovat varmasti kuinka helppo kampaus oli toteuttaa, loppuletin kiinnitin muotoiluvaahdolla ja ripauksella lakkaa jottei se aukea ihan heti ilman ponnaria pitämässä sitä kiinni.

When there is no time and not so official event for go to: created an easy and loose braid. From pictures you can see quickly how simple is this hair-do. I used some styling mousse and hair spray for the ends that the braid wouldn't open that easily without any clips holding it closed.

WOOL WITH GIANFRANCO FERRE

 Eilinen asu kouluun oli melko yksinkertainen – nyt kun alkaa kylmenemään oikeen kunnolla mutta tuntuu hassulta vielä vetäistä ihan kunnon saappaita jalkaan. Housut saattoivat olla liian ohuet tähän meininkiin, mutta toisaalta olivat mukavat päällä luennolla istuessa. Uusi (ostettu kesällä, nyt vasta kunnolla käytössä) musta villakangastakki palveli hyvin, varsinkin kun taivaasta tuli välillä vettäkin. Kengät olivat hassu ratkaisu, maailman mukavimmat jalassa mutta käsitelty käärmeennahka ei varmasti tykkää hirveän märästä menosta. Olen suutarilla antanut laittaa nahkapohjiin kuitenkin muoviset päällysteet, joten toisaalta näissä voi painella menemään kosteammallakin säällä (sekä kestävät käyttöä kauemmin). Kengät, Gianfranco Ferre, ostin muistaakseni pari vuotta sitten Tallinnan Kaubamajan kenkäostastola, butiikkipuolelta.

My yesterdays outfit was pretty simple – now when the weather's getting colder but it's still funny to wear totally think boots. These pants may have been too thin for the temperature but sitting in a lecture all day they worked perfectly by being really comfortable. My new wool coat (bought during the summer but never used before this) served really great as it was raining a bit. The shoes were a odd choice, maybe the snakeskin don't like the wet weather that much but they are heavenly to wear – and as I have put plastic covers to shoe soles top of the leather sole, they are wearable even for a little rain (and they handle use better). I have bought the Gianfranco Ferre shoes few years ago, from Tallinn Kaubamaja shoe department, boutique side. 

THE CAMEL COAT

Vihdoin olen löytänyt sen vuosia haluamani kameli takin – olen käynyt tavaratalot sekä äitini vaatekaapit läpi löytämättä sitä oikeaa takkia. Vaikka tämä yksilö onkin hieman aikaista pistää joka päiväiseen käyttöön, kärsimättömyyteni voitti taas ja pakko oli pistää kokeiluun. Perrrrfecto ei voi muuta sanoa!

Finally I have found the right camel coat I've been looking for years now. After going through every department store and moms closets none of them where just quite right until this one! It's perfect for fall and maybe it's too early to start using it everyday but my impatience won again as I wore it today – and it proved to be the one!

LOST IN EVERYDAY LIFE

Ollaampas sitä oltu hiljaisia täällä blogin puolella. Voi myös johtua siitä että olen jälleen kerran unohtanut kameran kuvien siirtojohdon jonnekin tielle tuntemattomalle, joten saadaan vielä odotella niitäkin otoksia. Muutamia hauskoja jutun ideoita on kyllä jäänyt luonnoksiin ja niitä voisinkin vähän fixailla jotta saisi postailtua muutakin kuin omaa naamaa.

I've been really lazy posting and updating the blog but it might be because I have yet again lost the camera cord to transfer the images to computer. I will try to finnish up the posts waiting in drafts, something other than my own face all the time.
