HELLO DEAR READERS

LET'S GET INTIMATE AND WIDER OUR RANGE OF TOPICS. As many of you have probably noticed already, I've made a lot of changes to blog layout and post formatting. After a long break I felt like writing again, but wanted to cut the BS (not going to explain here for what that stands for, look it up). I feel comfortable to writing in English but if I get lot of requests for Finnish subtitles, I would be more than willing to do those also for every post. My mission is to cover different topics as they touch my life in some way. Not sure what that means exactly still, but I am sure we are going to find out. If you have ideas or wishes for different topics I would be really happy to receive them via comments or email.

MICHAEL JACKSON MEETS KEVIN RUDOLF. This was my first reaction and thought when I discovered this Denmark-based synth-pop (euro-pop) band while wasting time in Spotify. Currently band is a solo project by Danish producer and singer Thomas Troelsen and their most recent live performance was in June, 2013 and it was long waited appearance, after 10 years of hiding.

YOU ARE UNDERCOVER, MY SECRET LOVER like they sing in my favorite hit by Private. I instantly fell in love with their tunes, vocal performances and lyrics – after I was amused for a while discovering the name of this band reminded me of my blog. Personal favorite album by Private is My Secret Lover which contains hits My Secret Lover, That Boy Is Hurting You and Killer On The Dancefloor, among other catchy songs.

HELL AIN'T A BAD PLACE TO BE is Privates newest song which came out last year (2013). Privaté Blog ♥ Private.

THE ULTIMATE DREAM KITCHEN. I have finally find it. After seeing this gorgeous golden kitchen others just won't do. So heads up for the future house of mine, be ready to enter the chambers of smell of – not food – but a dazzling golden style (in a larger context of course than in this picture). How the light marble just loves the cold, yet arrogant gold color and materials.

QUICK FIXES FOR YOUR KITCHEN and having a golden look would be paining – or taping. By taping over the kitchen cabinet doors you preserve the option for going back to the old, that is if you change your mind later. Taping large areas is time consuming and very hard to do clean without previous experience. Cheapest and easiest way would be painting the cabinet doors over with your choice of gold color/shade but this decision is for good. Paining would also great different interesting outcomes, since gold paint looks so different on wood, plywood, plastic or industrial materials and cabinet doors.

FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO INVEST IN QUALITY, I recommend heading to professional designers reception with a pile of inspiration photos.

QUIET XMAS

SORRY I HAVE BEEN ON MY QUIET MODE LATELY. Hope everyones Christmas went well, me and my whole family spent it in Hanko city at our summer house. I returned to Helsinki pretty quickly, only after 2,5 days. Since I have been working on things that are still unfinnished before welcoming the New Year. It hasn't felt like holiday at all, or this year my xmas spirit was nowhere to be found. Maybe next year will be better.
I am going to spend my New Years eve at Helsinki, nothing special this year but it's the people who make it magical. So nothing too exciting.. haha! Wishing you all the best and happy New Year!
