QUIET XMAS

SORRY I HAVE BEEN ON MY QUIET MODE LATELY. Hope everyones Christmas went well, me and my whole family spent it in Hanko city at our summer house. I returned to Helsinki pretty quickly, only after 2,5 days. Since I have been working on things that are still unfinnished before welcoming the New Year. It hasn't felt like holiday at all, or this year my xmas spirit was nowhere to be found. Maybe next year will be better.
I am going to spend my New Years eve at Helsinki, nothing special this year but it's the people who make it magical. So nothing too exciting.. haha! Wishing you all the best and happy New Year!

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

THIS YEAR WINTER CAME QUICK AND CHRISTMAS TIME EVEN QUICKER. There have been so many events, birthday parties, school tasks and national holiday celebrations that for me, this Christmas time came totally out of the blue. I haven't been able to feel the real merry feelings, no time for think about the presents or even make the vital decision where to actually spend the Christmas (in Helsinki or Tallinn). School assignment deadlines are banging the door (on behalf of the elves this year) and this whole stressing over holidays seems ridiculous because all the other "more" important stuff going on. My birthday party at least went ridiculously well and maybe I will post some photos here also, if they are suitable for some topic. This year still has been truly okay one, old friends have became even closer and I have taken care of family relationships ever better. It's all good, right?

So these are the only Christmas lights in my apartment in Tallinn. They are actually the only Christmas related decoration this year, no time for anything else. But I actually function sometimes better when there are several things going on and it decreases the stressing about unimportant things.

THE NEW BEGINNINGS

HI, HOW HAVE YOU BEEN? Regardless that the post title is radically The New Beginnings, it doesn't been anything that dramatic. I've been really busy with my real life and sadly my inspiration levels have run low and I decided to sacrifice the blog for the sake of ease the pressure of inventing something new and interesting. As I spent my lovely Saturday evening at home, I decided to give my blog yet another make-over and I hope this will be a more permanent edition for a while now. Also I have decided to drop the second language (pahoittelen Suomi-lukijat) because I feel like it's only causing confusion and I am positive that many of you can understand english that well, so you hopefully manage (and usually photos tell more that a thousand words, right?).

ABOUT THE TOPICS. I am still searching the right ground to stand on what comes to covering different topics but my ground-idea is basically same as ever; writing and discovering things that interest me and sharing some personal posts along the way.

Tervetuloa hieman uudistuneeseen blogiini. Uudistuksia eivät kokenut pelkkä ulkoasu, vaan myös käsiteltävät aiheet. Keskityn tulevaisuudessa enemmän ilmilöihin, luksustrendeihin sekä kaupallisiin löytöihin – todella henkilökohtaisia postauksia ei välttämättä enää tule, vaikka päivän asut sekä lyhyitä kuvauksia kuvien kera saattaakin ilmestyä. Toivottavasti tämä toimii!

Welcome! Our blog had a makeover regarding its layout and future posts. I will be concentrating more on commercial finds, luxury trends and phenomena. I will be from time to time touch on news about my own personal life, with outfit and other photos of course but will cut down a lot of the really personal texts. Hope you like it! 

BEAUTY BOX: CURRENT FAVORITES

Tällä hetkellä testissä ovat olleet seuraavat tuotteet: Vichy Idéalia siloittava kasvovoide sekä Peppy Galore Diva Toner for Sensitive Skin -kasvovesi (nämä tulivat siis syyskuun ilmaisen Liv-boxin yhteydessä). Nuorempana ostin yleensä saman tien purkit kaupasta mukaan, jos jotain tarvitsin mutta nyt sitä on oppinut hillitsemään itsensä ja oppinut kokeilemaan tuotteita kunnolla ennen kuin pääsevät kunnolla vakituiseen käyttöön. Nopeasti kerrottuna, olen todella rakastunut Vichyn kasvorasvaan: voide on vaaleanpunaista, tuoksuu hyvältä, tuntuu iholla viileältä ja valehtelematta tasoittaa ja heleyttää kasvoja saman tien. En tunne hirveästi muita Vichyn tuotteita, mutta tämä on todella lupaava alku. Olen melkoisen varma, että pitkään käyttämäni L'Orealin Youth Code-sarja vaihtuu seuraavalla täyttö kerralla tähän (kyllä, se on niin ihmeellinen).
Tuota Peppy Galoren puhdistusöljyä en ole vielä oppinut käyttämään, vierastan tunnetta että iho jää öljyiseksi (ei tunnu niin raikkaalta ja puhtaalta) vaikka muuten merkki onkin brändätty söpön tyttömäiseksi. Pitää opiskella lisää miten tuotteesta saisi parhaan hyödyn, mutta en nää sille niinkään käyttöä omassa arjessani.. Ehkä tämä seikka muuttuu, kunhan tutustuu paremmin.
Mikä on teidän luottomerkkinne, puhuttaessa kasvorasvoista ja puhdistuksesta?

My current beauty products I'm testing out: Vichy Idéalia smoothing day-cream for face and Peppy Galore Diva Toner for Sensitive Skin (these came from free September Liv-box). Younger I just bought the normal size bottles (beauty products) that I needed at the time but now as older and wiser I take time to really test the products out before actually buying it in bigger amounts. In short, I have falling in love with the Vichy cream: it's light pink, cream smells good, it feels chilly on your face when applying and it really does miracles for you (smoothing and controlling the redness in somehow so your face looks healthy, it gives you glow and equal tone). I'm not familiar with other Vichy products but this looks really promising and I'm pretty sure I will change my L'Oreal Youth Code creams to Vichy ones (yeah, it is that good). 
I'm not yet best mates with the Peppy Galore cleaning oil since I don't like the oily feeling it leaves to your face (doesn't feel that fresh and clean) although they have done great job with the branding it cute and girly. I need to study this product more how to get all the best out of it's use and maybe my mind about it will change, who knows.
